Mezinárodní hokejový turnaj mládeže

Hned dvě zcela klíčová slova, přesně vyjadřující poslání našeho turnaje, jsou uvedena v tomto krátkém titulku. Slova „mezinárodní“ a „mládež“. V dnešním otevřeném světě globalizace, ve kterém mizí hranice mezi jednotlivými státy, zkracují se vzdálenosti mezi kontinenty a pomalu se hroutí jazykové bariéry, je schopnost mezinárodní spolupráce a schopnost „mezinárodního života“ zcela zásadním předpokladem pro budoucí  uplatnění dnešní mladé generace. Jde o „vykouknutí z rodné kotliny“ a samozřejmé poznání, že způsob života a základní hodnoty jsou stejné ve většině států Evropy, v USA i v Rusku. Všude je nutné chodit do školy, všude je možné hrát hokej, všude existují dobří kamarádi a všude výsledky záleží především na schopnostech a vůli. Čím dříve si naše děti toto poznání osvojí, tím lépe. Posláním turnaje LEKOV CUP je mimo jiné přispět k urychlení tohoto procesu.

Poslání spojené se slovem „mládež“ je myslím zjevné. Jsem osobně přesvědčen, že vedle rodiny a  školy má závodní sport zcela klíčový význam pro zdravý roz5voj dítěte a formování jeho osobnosti. A hokej je přímo modelem reálného života. Výsledek týmu je závislý na spolupráci individualit, bravurní jednotlivec málokdy spasí špatný tým. Stejně tak ani sebemenší role v týmu není podřadná. Cílevědomost, zodpovědnost, obětavost a bojovnost všech jsou základní předpoklady úspěchu, tak jako nekázeň, nezvládnutá agresivita a nedůslednost ohrozí výsledek celého týmu. Tým bez motivace a vůle po vítězství je hračkou v rukou motivovaného soupeře. Euforie vítězství je vyvažována hořkostí porážek a obé je  chápáno jako přirozená součást života. Věřím, že komplexní a vyvážená osobnost, mimo jiné formovaná životem ve sportovním kolektivu, je nejlépe vrácená investice do hokejového mládí dětí.  

Je mým velkým potěšením pozdravit při příležitosti turnaje všechny jeho účastníky.
Zdravím hráče, pro které je turnaj pořádán především, a doufám, že do zápasů o putovní Lekov Cup vloží všechen svůj hokejový um a srdce bojovníků. Zdravím trenéry, vedoucí týmů a další členy realizačních doprovodů, kteří obtížnou a trpělivou prací mění party dětí v hokejové týmy a kluky v hokejisty. Zdravím rodiče, prarodiče a ostatní členy rodin mladých hokejistů, kteří každoročně investují nemalé prostředky a zejména ohromné množství osobního času do sportovního dětství svých potomků. Zdravím všechny zástupce partnerů turnaje, zejména pana primátora města Plzně Ing. Pavla Rödla a pracovníky jeho kanceláře, kteří svojí finanční pomocí pomohli uskutečnit všechny myšlenky organizátorů a připravit turnaj na nejvyšší možné úrovni. Zdravím rozhodčí, kteří jsou celoročně arbitry hokejových pravidel a strážci fair – play chování v průběhu mládežnických hokejových zápasů. Zdravím členy organizačního výboru sdružení Games 2018, kteří po několik dlouhých měsíců ve svém volném čase, bez nároku na jakoukoliv odměnu připravují turnaj, který jak počtem zúčastněných týmů, tak dotažením každého detailu snese ty nejpřísnější měřítka. Zdravím zástupce HC Lasselsbergeru Plzeň, spolupořadatele turnaje, jako i management ČEZ Arény v Plzni, kteří svými bohatými zkušenostmi pomohli doladit finální podobu turnaje. Zdravím i všechny ostatní: ledaře, pořadatelskou a zdravotní službu, obsluhu časomíry, pracovníky zajišťující stravování a občerstvení, účinkující během slavnostního zahájení a ukončení turnaje a mnoho dalších, potřebných ke zdárnému průběhu turnaje. V neposlední řadě zdravím i všechny diváky a příznivce hokeje, pro které každé hokejové klání, bez rozdílu soutěže a věku soupeřů představuje neodolatelné pokušení.

Na závěr chci všem , přesně v souladu s mottem české hokejové extraligy: „ Hokej nás baví, bavte se s námi“, popřát  výbornou hokejovou zábavu s turnajem LEKOV CUP 2008 !

LEKOV CUP 08 – There are two quite key words for me in the name of the International Ice Hockey Youth Tournament. These words express the mission of our tournament. International and Youth.  The ability of international cooperation and “international life” is quite principal condition for future application of the current young generation in today’s open world of globalisation when boundaries between individual countries are fading away, distances between continents are shortening and language barriers are collapsing slowly. It means that it is necessary “to glance out of the homeland” and to recognize that the way of life and the principal values are identical in most European countries as well as in the USA and in Russia. It is necessary to go to school everywhere, ice hockey can be played everywhere, there are good friends everywhere and the results depend above all on abilities and will everywhere. The sooner our children acquire this knowledge the better and the mission of the LEKOV CUP tournament is, among others, to contribute to speeding up of the process of acquiring such knowledge. The other mission of the tournament associated with the word Youth is apparent. I am convinced personally that besides the family and school, competitive sport plays a quite key role for healthy development of the children and shaping of their characters. And ice hockey is a model of the real life directly. The results of a team depend on cooperation of individualities; excellent individual rarely saves a bad team and, on the other hand, even the merest role in a team is not unimportant. Purposefulness, responsibility, selflessness and fighting spirit are the basic prerequisites for success; on the other hand, lack of discipline, uncontrolled aggressiveness and inconsistency will endanger the result of the complete team. A team without motivation and will to win is a toy in the hands of a motivated rival. Winning euphoria is counterbalanced with bitterness of defeats and both are understood as natural parts of the life. I believe that a complex and balanced personality, shaped by life in a sport team among others, is the best returned investment spent on the ice hockey youth of children.    

It is my great pleasure to greet all participants of the tournament.
I greet the players for whom the tournament is organized in particular and hope that they will put all their ice hockey skills and hearts of fighters into the matches for the “LEKOV CUP“. I greet coaches, team managers and other members of staff of the teams who convert bunches of children in ice hockey teams and boys in ice hockey players by their difficult and patient work. I greet parents, grandparents and other members of the families of young ice hockey players who spent significant sums and in particular huge amount of their personal time in the sport childhood of their children every year. I greet all representatives of the partners of the tournament and in particular the Mayor of the city of Plzeň, Mr. Pavel Rödl including the staff of his office who helped to realize all ideas of the organizers and to prepare the tournament on the highest possible level with their financial assistance. I greet the referees who are arbiters of ice hockey rules throughout the year and guardians of fair play during youth ice hockey matches. I greet the members of the organizational committee from the Games 2018 association who have been preparing the tournament that stands the strictest requirements both as to the number of the participating teams and the viewpoint of finalizing each detail for several long months in their free time without claim for any reward. I greet the representatives of HC Lasselsberger Plzeň, co-organizer of the tournament, as well as the members of the management of ČEZ Arena in Plzeň who assisted in finalizing tournament organization with their rich experience. I greet also all others: icemen, stewards and medical service, timekeeping operators, personnel providing catering and refreshment, performers participating during festive opening and termination of the tournament and many other people needed for successful organization of the tournament. Last but not least, I greet also all viewers and ice hockey fans for whom every ice hockey match represents irresistible temptation regardless of the level of competition and age of players. 

Finally, I would like to wish you excellent ice hockey entertainment with the LEKOV CUP 2008 tournament just in accordance with the motto of the Czech Ice Hockey Extra-League: “We enjoy ice hockey, enjoy yourself with us”!
